Details Coming Soon. Feel free to review the 2008 Internship Requirements Below.
2008 Internship Program Details:
The Vibra Design Intern Program aims to provide a well-rounded experience for all interns, which includes experience and exposure to all vital, real-world elements of our graphic design and marketing business. We view this as an opportunity for experience, education, and growth for both the intern and our company.
Our program is structured to meet specific goals within the time period specified by a particular institution's program. Our first goal is to welcome interns into our company and invite them to become a vital part of our team. They will immediately become a part of Vibra's public presence by creating a personal webpage to be included on our website and by contributing to our company blog. Additionally, they will be invited to attend staff meetings to get acquainted with the Vibra Team and become comfortable with our work process and office environment.
Following the introductory period, in order to assure that all interns are competent with standard design industry programs and tools, we require that they complete a series of instructional videos and tutorials on Adobe Illustrator. For many interns, this is simply a review of basic and advanced Illustrator techniques. For others, it is a necessary addition to their education in order to excel in the profession of graphic design, as Illustrator is the industry standard.
After this initial introduction and instructional period, interns will be assigned specific, real-world projects that encompass all phases of the design process: Research, Conceptualization, Design, Production, and Implementation. They will complete their projects under the guidance of the Vibra Team, and will continue to publish blogs documenting aspects of their experience.
Upon completion of the internship, all interns will have a portfolio of professional creative work which will be published on the Vibra Design website. It is our hope that they will also come away with the knowledge and confidence necessary to move forward in their careers as professional graphic designers.
